It is the work of Ludwig Holhwein (1874 - 1949) who is widely acknowledged as being one of the great poster artists and graphic designers of the Twentieth Century having first trained as an architect until he switched to design in c1908. His later work became associated with the Nazi Regime after they assumed power in 1933.
