British Railways 'Leapfrog" Petrol tanker (on Foden chassis) and UK Esso Service Station
British Railways attempted, in the early 1960s, to develop a tanker system that could be worked on both rail and road vehicles - here the tanker (on a Foden chassis) is seen at a Esso service station - nice to see this in colour. The sign and pumps can be seen, with a globe for "Esso Golden". The Foden chassis has "BTC 64" on its plates that I suspect stands for "British Transport Commission 1964".
