Kynoch press Note Book for 1934 - advert in "Design for Today" magazine, 1933
The Kynoch Press was the printing arm of ICI - based in Witton, Birmingham. Although in some ways 'simply' the in-house maker of packing cases and such like, they also carried out external work and were, for many years, very highly regarded as printers. Their annual diary (or almanack) was illustrated by a different artist each year - the 1934 one by Albert Rutherston. As the advert notes "owing to the demand by bibliophiles..." - they still are sought after and how I wish I could send 2s 6d (12.5p) to get one!
