Bull Street, Grey's Store and Birmingham Buses - Birmingham, UK, c1945
A view from a war Transport report into street layouts. A Birmingham City centre view here with a couple of Birmingham City Transport buses - a Daimler up front - and standard BCT stops on the pavement. The bus may be AOG 690 - if not that precisely, it is one of the batch. That would make it a 1935 Daimler COG5 with a Short's body as the batch was fitted with coachwork by several builders.
I'm not certain - but this may be Bull Street with what was Grey's Stores behind as I think it was partially blitzed.Grey's was still on the go, although it felt shabby, when I was a lad in the late 1960s.
