The Birmingham Guild - public house and Inn signs catalogue, c1930

The Birmingham Guild were one of a number of small post-Morris craft guilds that specialised in such items as signs, plaques and metalwork. This catalogue has a wonderful array of pub signs inside - the front cover is a stylish and eye-catching take on the Guild's 'badge' that included elements of the Birmingham coat-of-arms. The Guild famously produced the first real design for a fixed bus stop and post for the London General Omnibus Company in the post-1922 period.
