Our Flying Foes - Irish Department of Health booklet cover c1960
One of the joys of the Irish Stationery Office shop in Dublin in the late 1970s was the oddest things they still stocked and you could buy for pennies (as was then). This booklet was still around - for 1.5p - and tells the deadly peril caused by flies and how DDT would banish them. The cartoons are by the famous Belfast born artist and cartoonist Rowel Friers - I recall he did work for Citybus in Belfast at one time.
