Havoline as a brand was first introduce din the US in 1904 by the Havermeyer Company but for many years is a brand associated with Texaco. Ajax powder based cleaner is now a major brand selling a much wider range than the single product brand shown here and that was introduced by Colgate-Palmolive in 1947. Sifta Table Salt was produced in Cheshire by Palmer Mann & Co LTd of Sandbach and was for many years a major domestic brand of table salt competing with the likes of Saxa Salt. Sifta Sam was a well-known trademake of the day! I remember the thin tin tops to the Ajax packet - you had to punch the holes out to sprinkle the cleaner.
