Bradford City Transport - bus stop road markings, September 1958
An odd snippit from the September 1958 edition of Bus & Coach journal showing what was believed to be the first bus stop markings that included a no waiting prohibition for other traffic - with the no waiting sign on the adjacent post. It also notes the use of yellow rather than the tradiitonal white road markings. Odd to think that this was as late as 1958 in some ways but given what it spawned in terms of yellow lines....
The bus is fleet number 94, HKW 94, one of the batch of 1953 AEC Regent III's bodied by East Lancshire CW.
