"At your service" - West Bromwich Corporation Transport Department, based at the town's Oak Lane bus garage, was a relatively small operator but, to my mind, were a smart set up as they took me to school and town in the 1960s. For many years the chief glory was the livery - most unusual for a municipal operator in that for the most part the complex, lined out two toned blue and cream survived without simplification until the Department was merged into West Midlands PTE's fleet in 1969. Pictured here are veraious of the Daimler buses that were the mainstain of the fleet for many a long year, A Witcomb Smith's pride and joy! One oddity - the printer's obviously got carried away - 'folding map of City transport services' - West Brom was never that big!
