"Puff Puff Toys" - advertising photo for Fortnum & Mason, London, c1934
A very stylish image produced as part of an article on photo printing process in 1934. Fortnum & Mason were, and remain still, an upmarket store in London and for many years they had a very high standard of publciity material and this image, even if not formally issued, is typical of the quite challenging work they commissioned. The image shows a child's wooden toy train - the alliteration to the 'puff puff' of the steam locomotive - and either in the sandpit or on the beach.
