Down by the water
Adox 4
Within a minute or two I'd shot this scene with two old folding rangfinders: this one was with an Adox Mess Golf, and the other was with an Agilux Agifold MkIII. Both were loaded with my last rolls of Fuji Neopan 400CN.
The Steinheil Cassar lens of the Adox vignettes less, is sharper in the corners than the Agilux, and this composition is marginally more pleasing too. Despite the technical superiority of this shot my heart is with the Agilux: it must have captured a fleeting change in the lighting, bringing more contrast and separation to the subject and the background of the screes.
