Metropolitan Museum- Mosaic Floor Panel in Roman Wing

This 2nd Century A.D. floor mosaic was found in an olive grove outside Rome in 1937. The woman's bust probably is a personification of abundance and good living suited to the luxurious atmosphere created for a rich patron's summer villa.
