Justin Switzer, instructional materials developer at The Institute for Learning and Teaching, uses Mediasite to edit the content of a lecture Monday April 20, 2009. Mediasite is a video capturing software that enables Switzer to record all video, audio and VGA signals - the signals produced from computers - simultaneously. Once edited, the content can be viewed online in the form of online courses or distance learning. A student who watches the recording online sees and hears a professor giving a lecture while PowerPoint slides are automatically advanced as the lecture proceeds.
