Twilight in Town
This is Dam Square, Amsterdam just after sunset. The white pillar on the right is the National Monument which is a memorial to WWII. A wall bends round the back of the monument which contains urns of soil from execution grounds and cemetries of the WWII fallen from all the Dutch territories around the world. It is a popular gathering point on the square.
