Queen Victoria, The Queens Hotel 1874

The bust of Queen Victoria is over the main door to the former Queens Hotel at the corner of Regent Street with Eldon Street in Barnsley.

 

The hotel was built in in 1874 for James Fox, a local brewer. The Fox family collected a number of artworks which part of a collection in the Town's Cooper Gallery.

 

The hotel building is now a business centre and the building is Grade II listed.
