Not quite the Bridge of Sighs

The old metal footbridge across Milltown that used to connect the east and west sides of the former Woods Mill complex in Glossop. The mill was last owned by Volcrepe, a rubber products manufacturer and the footbridge bore their name. The mill buildings on the right (west) side have been demolished and the majority of the original mill complex that stretched down the Howard Town Mill area is now a new housing development.

Volcrepe's offices were in Easton House (built 1857) on the A57 towards the eastern edge of the site, and which has also fallen into a dilapidated state.
