Kitchen- Compact Washer
Ahh yes... The Haier HLP23E 8.8lbs portable clothes washer. "Portable" is a bit of a misnomer here as the thing ships without wheels. It has handles on the side and honestly it's like maneuvering a whale around the kitchen. Haier sells a caster kit for the machine, but everything Haier makes has to be shipped where I live so that $45 caster-kit ends up being around $70. I ended running some plastic water lines and making it permanent install. Aside from that it's great. Clothes come out great, the thing is damn-near silent and all push-button. I bought this set mainly after the roommate moved in, after seeing his reaction to the Hoover twin-tub, I decided on this set. Still portable and gadget-y for me, but something simple enough for ANYONE to use as well. Ah yes... Compromise...
