A young lady on the train was wearing these magnificent heels. Until now, I’d only seen them in ads, not IRL. It turns out that they really do emphasize the arches and toes.
After I complimented her shoes, she let me take a couple of pictures (she seemed pleased that someone noticed her investment). She's a lawyer, visiting from out of state, which probably explains how she is able to afford $1350 shoes. Of course, that investment wouldn't matter if she didn't have incredibly pretty feet. When we debarked, they proved to be completely impractical for walking. But cute!
YSL advertises these shoes as being "comfortable." I doubt that. But I appreciate her sacrifice.... So, I guess, in the infinitely wise words of the SNL's "Fernando's Hideaway," ... "it's better to look good than to feel good," or, "you look mahvelous!"
