Spotted in West Sacramento, CA.
When I first uploaded to iNaturalist, it suggested the ever-helpful "Life." Later, it grudgingly suggested Bumblebees. While the bright yellow coloration and fuzziness fit, I'm not so sure. It looks a little skinny (and, if I remember correctly, rather small -- although it can be hard to judge accurately, if you are looking at it mainly through a lens).
