The pensive hoverfly

Everyone knows that however vain hoverflies are, they are the thinkers of the diptera world. Rather than acting on impulse like their ugly cousins the common flies they think their decisions through and ponder what should be done next. The common fly simply does what impulse drives it to, whatever the consequence, the hoverfly however consider each action and try to make the best "next move". This is great in theory, but there needs to be a judicious mix, sometimes these hoverflies spend so much time pondering the next decision that the moment for action is gone and the opportunity lost. Remember this mix, temper thought for what is right with impulse to do the right thing and you will be good. Success is making the right decision at the right time, and allowing yourself the potential to be wrong!
