Norma the 17th

Norma was the 17th generation down from Norma the 1st, the ambassador of the coleopteran group to the wasp clan in the last great bug wars. She was only a youngster and didn't yet fully understand the impact her great-great (15 times) grandmother had on the garden's ladybird population and why her name was revered in all of the smartest circles. She certainly was born with a silver spoon in her mouth! Her grandmother, the 15th generation Norma used her reputation to seduce as many of the fittest and well respected ladybirds as possible, knowing that they would bend to her every whim just to have the chance to father the next Norma. Because of her grandmother's appetite for the male of the species, she had hundreds of cousins, but she was the only Norma. She was bestowed with gifts and praise from all quarters, life would certainly be sweet for her. Unfortunately for her, jealousy was beginning to rise in the insect ranks, why should she be so privileged just because one of her ancestors was a great bug? She also had murderers, thieves and vagabonds in her ancestry, but that was not mentioned openly. Norma would live the high life, at least that was the hope of her mother, Norma the 16th.
