Church of San Giovanni Battista
The new Church of St. John the Baptist (Chiesa di San Giovanni Battista/nova cerkev Sv. Janeza Krstnika) was built in 1932 as a reimbursement for damage caused by the war. The church nave has the shape of the octagonal ground plan and it was equipped with paintings and patrially with sculptures by Avgust Černigoj in 1937. Outside stands the statue of the Angel of Peace, made by the sculptor France Gorše in 1929.
