Kodak Brownie 44B, My first ever camera. (Explored)
Type: Solid body eyelevel rollfilm
Introduced: May 1961
Discontinued: Sept 1963
Film size: 127
Picture size: 1 5/8 X 1 5/8"
Manufactured: UK
Lens: Anaston f/8, three apertures, focusing
Shutter: Two speeds 1/30 and 1/60 sec
A roll of 127 roll film would allow 12 exposures.
Description:
The Brownie 44B is similar in styling to the Brownie 44A camera but without the integral ever-ready cover, a more conventional leather case was available for the 44B. Significant improvements include a focusing lens with a variable aperture (f8-f16), a two-speed shutter (1/60, 1/30) with an additional B setting for time exposures, and double-exposure prevention. Like the 44A, it has an optical direct vision finder and can use an optional pin and screw flash attachment.
