Cobalt Suede Earrings with Gold Painted Accents, Fairy Wing Style with Gold Beading
I painted delicate swirls of metallic gold onto soft, cobalt blue ultra suede wings to make these light weight earrings. Opaque yellow green rondelles are surrounded by a flower of raku finished iridescent tear drop beads in gorgeous peacock colors. I edged the entire shape with a picot edging of tiny gold and iridescent teal blue beads. At the top of the wing, Scalloped antique brass lever back ear wires were added through a reinforced beaded loop at the top of the earring. The earrings are backed with pewter gray ultra suede.
Dimensions: 1 inch at the widest and 2.25 inches from the top of the lever back to the very bottom of the wing shape. (2.54 cm wide, 5.7 cm tall).
