Arriva is Shrinking
I especially wanted to stop in Northwich yesterday as it would probably be my last chance to take a picture of an Arriva bus in the town as Winsford Garage is due to close at the end of April. As one might have guessed D&G who have a little depot in the town has registered some of the routes including this trunk route to Crewe via Middlewich and Sandbach. It doesn't sound like they will they will be taking over the whole operation including buses and staff the way they did at Cannock forming Chaserider so there will be no Cheshirerider or 'Cheeserider' lol. D&G currently run no double-decker so it will be interesting to see if buses like Enviro K200 ABW No.4422 might be taken into stock but I doubt it. Now I don't see many of them any more as they pulled out of Stafford I have grown quite fond of Arriva, but maybe that's also due to the fact that I don't have to stand around hoping they are not going to be late or just not turn up.
