Cancer Operation Five Years Ago Today
Surprisingly even though one doesn't think it at the time the days fly by even when you are ill. It's hard to think it is five years ago today that i went into hospital for my bowel tumor removal operation. It should have been a snip but I ended up in there a whole week as they worried about my irregular heartbeat and put me in an intensive care ward just in case I had a stroke. I recovered very quickly but I suppose I should worry as nothing has changed yet I am still here and having had cancer or not appreciate every day I'm here. The worst part was the follow-up six months of chemo treatment as that is truly a life-draining ordeal which makes you feel you have to half kill youself to make it better and which is indeed true in a way as it destroys all the old cells in the body where cancer can linger. So in truth Jojo should only be five years old but I'm happy to settle for Twenty-Five especially as I feel like a randy young single girl dating the boys.
