The Hurtful Things We Forget

I don't have a very quick memory any more especially for names these days but I have a good recall of the past and given time to ruminate I can remember normally difficult things. You might be surprised to learn that even though I spend time photographing buses I forget all the names and because there are so few of them these days that includes the common types, it's all a bit boring and maybe being all quizzed up on today's buses doesn't turn me on. But it seems I've done so much in life I've run out of vacant brain cells to store it all in. But what always fascinates me is how quite unexpectedly something triggers a significant memory from the past something I had totally forgotten about. That happened again a few minutes ago as I was scanning pictures for you. I was thinking how sometimes when I'm not hiding and trying to look cool in sunglasses my face still looks very recognisable as Christopher. I'm not sure how many or who said it but when I was a teenage schoolboy as a taunt I was told I look like a girl.
