I Love Rock 'N' Roll
As I've said before I like to think it's cool to be Jojo. I'm not sure everyone would agree with that of course but if I didn't think I was a winner of sorts then why bother! But what is so cool for Jojo is the way I can dress to put across any message or to suit any mood. That suits me as I don't have to be a normal grown-up or need to pay heed to their real world and I can be as young and as frivolous as I feel. The trouble is the sort of people I have fantasies about are I guess more like porn stars than the normal pillars of society who bring up 2.5 kids and put them through University. Indeed with such a privilaged background I often wonder what the rich people who knew me at my exclusive Swiss international boarding school as teenagers would think of me today, then a quiet insignificant boy they only vaguely remember because I was crazy about buses. Some became diplomats, oil tycoons, establishment artists and artististes, property developers and even even olympic winter gold medalists. My excuse for not being one the elite might be we were able to scrape together the fee but otherwise were comparitively poor and I guess sadly despite my mother's dream I was not born to be a champagne socialite or aristocrat. However I'm sure we only read about the school standard bearers and not the boys who became career criminals and even one I was told about who dropped out and became the street sweeper in Hadlow. At school five of us in our clique pretended we were the Rolling Stones and as I had the plastic leather jacket I was allowed to be Brian Jones but thankfully not a swimming pool. We were just pretending to be cool but one boy I read about in the school newsletter who went there after I had left became the real thing a successful rock and roll musician. He was very talented and did well in the business and his band the Arrows first recorded the well known primal anthem 'I Love Rock 'N' Roll' Another of the songs he wrote songs "When Night Comes" was taken into space by astronaut Guy Bluford and was the first song ever played in outer space. Sadly Allan Preston Sachs or as he was better known Alan Merril died in March. Sadly nothing really changes about life and the Spanish Flue took the life of Gustrav Klimpt and poor Alan Covid-19.
