New and old in Norway

Another example of new and old architecture, this time in Stavanger, Norway. The reconstructed long-houses from the Iron Age in the shadow of modern apartment buildings.

 

Note the two long-house entrances for the inhabitants. The entrance near the left end of the house was used for utility and storage of outdoor utensils.
