Bomb Craters

Flying in my PA28 around Yorkshire I came across these bomb craters to the west of Beverley. Most probably from WWII. Either the German bombers missed the port of Hull completely, or decided to release their bombs if they were in trouble, or an Allied bomber jettisoned its bombs because it was in trouble.
