Rosary Lake---Fishing

These are Eastern Brook Trout caught about 1970------ The fish were running small because there were too many fish for the food available in the lake------- Previous to this the Brookies ran bigger, about 10 to 16 inches. In later years Rainbow trout were planted and the brookies got skinny and not plentiful, while the Rainbow got fat and many were running 16 inches and larger.

This lake is a 6 mile round trip hike out of the Willamette Pass.
