Clarke Quay in Singapore
I committed no post-processing sins in the rendering of this shot, but just the same: it misleads, is a bit of a lie.
You, the viewer, are invited to imagine a lens trained over blossoms at eye level. I, the photographer, know that the blossoms were at ankle level, and that I had to crouch plenty low to aim the lens through fence grating on a bridge.
“A dachshund's view of Clarke Quay” would be an accurate caption. Walk a wiener dog here, this is what she'll see. You won't, unless fond of crawling unfamiliar cities on all fours.
