Stray dogs in Valparaiso, Chile

Snapped near the downtown produce market. The raised head and open eyes of the pooch at right qualifies as a major dog-to-human reaction by local standards, and I wouldn't have gotten it if I hadn't been squatting close by with my camera. His pal is obviously too busy dreaming of loves and dog biscuits lost to pay any attention to me.

 

Expect to see many, many strays in Santiago and Valparaiso.
