TRENDMASTERS Starcastle Treasure (Aladdin) Prototype Opened
I'm not one to collect the TRENDMASTERS Starcastles toy line, but this prototype from that line is the "Treasure" 1997 version, which is basically a copy of 'Aladdin' and definitely the most masculine playset that TRENDMASTERS did. I am just not so sure it was ever released or not. This line was so extensive, it's hard to tell for sure. It's missing some of the pieces, but still comes with a lot of accessories, featuring lots of trap doors, and hidden areas. When fully opened like this shot shows, it's quite easy to create that Aladdin scenario. The elephants are supposed to be a teapot and tea cup, that snap into the base on either side of the stairs. The colors I must say, are also a nice touch. This opened view shows tons of cool things, hidden rooms and compartments. I am rather impressed with this playset.
