262: United

The past 24 hours have been incredibly significant in The United Kingdom, as the citizens of Scotland voted on a referendum for their independence. The news coverage in the US was pitiful, because it seems that US television ratings are driven more by topics like the continuing debacle of the NFL, or what the Kardashians are up to. It came down to 1,617,989 votes FOR and 2,001,926 votes AGAINST the referendum, so for now Scotland remains part of the UK. I'm a believer in 'united we stand, divided we fall', and peaceful democracy at work. Thus, inspired by a tweet from a little bird from Wales, I tried to come up with a shot to commemorate the day. It's about as political as I'll ever go, but I like the end result of the vote and photo.
