Gone But Never Forgotten
The people we meet in SL can have a greater impact on our lives than we might want to believe. I realized this all too well tonight when a friend announced he had to leave. I don't know the reason for his departure. I can only hope that his absence will not be longlasting. I post this as tears burn a stinging trail down my face.
GONE, BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN
Today you left
I’m confused yet understanding
A friendship to be cherished
And one without an ending
The pain that you left me with
Like a knife through my heart
I know you have your reasons
But it’s still very hard
The joy that you brought to my life
Is something I’ll not soon forget
We only recently became friends
Yet it seems we had previously met
I’ll watch for the day
That you return to us again
A flame burning brightly
It will never dim
I’ll never forget you
That wonderful southern charm
Come back when you can
Back to our open arms.
(I wish you well, my friend, and look forward to the day you can return.)
