Lucy's Christmas Dress
I finally got some pictures of Lucy in her Christmas Dress, she loved it and when we were done taking pictures of her in other outfits she put this one back on and wore it all night!
I made this pretty red and white dress for Lucy to wear on Christmas Day 2011. The pattern is the Puppet Show dress from Oliver and S. I love the cute details in this dress especially the collar and the buttoned sleeves (see detail shot). The fabrics I used were some white and red quilting cottons along with the scallop print from Bonnie and Camille's line Ruby, I love the way the print creates a stripe/dot effect across the horizontal of the dress and continues in the sleeves. After making this dress twice I am happy to say that I have improved in my button hole making skills and all nine of the buttons on this dress were sewn only once!
