What's in a suitcase?

McMichael, Type S Duplex Four, portable 'suitecase' radio, 1932 or 1933, referred to as the Kings radio because one of these models was presented to King George V.

I bought this at a local auction - don't know why as I'm not in to valve radios or pre-mcm or objects with no real design!

Maybe I should stay away from auction rooms!
