JF 22882/1939 Connah's Quay Wagon Works, Clwyd, Wales.

A slightly wosre for wear 0-4-0DM built by John Fowler Ltd, Leeds (wks no.22882/1939) is seen shunting Dentith Sidings otherwise known as Connah's Quay Wagon Works operated at the time by C.C Crump Ltd. The locomotive was secondhand to Crumps having arrived here in 1970 from the Shell Refinery at Stanlow in Cheshire. It had been rebuilt in 1963 by Fowlers and the 150hp engine was replaced with a 203hp example it was then given a new works number by Fowlers (1651608/1963).It ended its career here being cut up on site some time between 1993-95.

Of interest in the yard are several new ZBA 'Rudd' wagons which Crumps were converting at the time from redundant HTV coal hoppers for British Rail's Civil Engineers department.
