Taken five weeks before being broken up In faded BR civil engineers livery and robbed for parts 37 054 is seen dumped in the yard at Motherwell TMD. It was a Toton allocated machine from November 1998 but remained dumped here from April 1999 when the loco was stored unserviceable by EWS. Later the same year its status changed to "authorised for component recovery" on 10/12/99 but in reality it had already been used for spares recovery and never made the long journey south to Wigan CRDC and instead it was offered for sale as scrap in January 2003 where it stood. Staff from Sandbach Car & Commercial Dismantlers Ltd cut the loco up on site in September 2003.
