750mm gauge 199 007 & 199 008 at Wilischthal, East Germany. 02/04/92.
Not the best image I know but the only one I managed to get of the last working remnant of the 750mm gauge Thumer Schmalspurbahn network in the Zschopau Valley that ran from Wilischthal to Meinersdorf (Erzgeb.) 29.8kms and a branch from Thum to Schönfeld-Wiesa 17.2kms. By 1992 all that was left was a short spur from Wilischthal DR station goods yard to Wilischthal Paper factory using two former industrial locos taken into DR stock in 1973. The two locomotives had come from nearby VEB Feinspinnerei Venusberg and were type Ns4 90hp 0-6-0DH's built by LKM in 1957. They carried DR numbers 199 007 and 199 008 but with unification DB numbers 399 701 and 399 702 were issued but I suspect never carried.
