66 434 leaving Drigg LLW Repository.

66 434 eases what is anticipated to be the penultimate ballast train this year out of the Low Level Waste Repository at Drigg. The train is top and tailed with 66 433 on the rear (not visible) and running as 6C21 13.05 Drigg LLW Repository to Barrow Cavendish Dock where Burlington Aggregates have a temporary stone terminal.

The train had run in March for four days and this week for three bringing slate waste from Burlington Aggregates quarry near Kirkby in Furness. The slate waste being used for construction projects on site ahead of more regular traffic scheduled for 2017.
