The Bone Yard ! Toton TMD March 1985.

With class 58 construction having reached the half way mark in February 1985 brand new 58 025 is seen on the extreme left having completed its running in trials it was accepted by BR and allocated to Toton Depot three days later on 05/03/1985.

Behind 58 025 was Toton's last remaining steam crane ADRS 95000 and then "the one that got away" namely 46 023 which was the standby loco for the staged nuclear flask impact test at Old Dalby. 46 023 had been allocated departmental number 97 402 but this was never carried and after 46 009 was destroyed at Old Dalby 46 023 had no further use so spent many years dumped at various locations before being sold in September 1993 to Pete Waterman Railway Ltd as a source of spares for his restored class 46 no.46 035. Completing the ensemble from left to right are 37 054 then 58 017 with 58 019 behind and finally 58 018.
