The village of Colletta was one of the villages abandoned after the 1887 earthquake but the providential intervention of the architect Giancarlo De Carlo has performed the miracle: the entire core has been restored with great respect of the original structures with a unique feature, the electronic equipment Advanced in every room, so as to enable people to remain in town throughout the year thanks to the ease of electronic links with the rest of the world.
Today's Colletta-Castelbianco is the first village in Italy with all the electronic wiring and fiber optic broadband services offer.
