Over 28 years ago and in my mind the last really interesting Summer on the railways down here. The rot had set in with the Peaks being banned, so other than the odd fix occurring I relied on the dear old 31s to stagger down to Paignton. This is 31465+31405 on the 1M37 0840 Paignton - Manchester, they would work as far as New St. (p065-00f)
