Here's the story. 31411+31417 had worked the 1V46 Stockport - Paignton, but 31417 had been taken off at Taunton. 411 then worked on to Paignton solo, and did the return 1M65 Paignton - Liverpool Lime St. Its booked duty would have been the 1M63 Paignton - Wolverhampton, using this lighter rake of stock.
