Sunday Review - Cookbooks

The Art and Science of Low Carbohydrate Living by Volek and Phinney - As someone who has been living low-carb since August 2013, I know from my experience that it can be tricky to make the transition to low-carb diet painless and sustainable. This book is mandatory reading if you really want to understand very clearly the politics of food and the mechanisms of good diet (not 'diet' as in 'dieting' but diet as in what you eat), how to eat well and how to keep the weight down.

1001 Low Carb Recipes by Dana Carpender - This is an excellent book for established low carbers, but it's not for someone just starting out on discovering low carb. But if you are looking for a recipe book to increase your cooking opportunities then this is highly recommended.

The Gluten Free Low Carber by Mellissa Sevigny - Easy to follow recipes, well explained and great photos. This book is for anyone following or considering starting a low carb lifestyle.

It Starts With Food by Melissa Jowlan - Of all the books & blogs on dietary advice, this is the clearest and most practical - it's an excellent place to start if you're interested in the 'Paleo' way of living without having to deal with the annoying "caveman" approach.
