Carnaby's Black Cockatoo

Carnaby's Black Cockatoo. (Calyptorhynchus Latirostris)

An endangered bird, only found in the south west of Western Australia. This was taken in Yanchep National Park where, suprisingly, there was a huge flock of them, possibly 300 which I was amazed and privileged at seeing. This is a male, distinguished by the red ring around the eye.
