An amazing tree. Known locally as the Ficus de Los Mazones, it’s a centuries-old tree recognised for its monumental size and ecological importance Located in Almoradí, within the Vega Baja del Segura región.The Fig Tree is protected by local authorities as part of Spain’s catalog of singular or monumental trees.It has become a symbol of the Almoradí countryside (huerta), representing the region’s deep agricultural roots and connection to the land.The tree was planted over 100 years ago on the large estate owned by the Mazones family hense its name today.
