dolphins

 

The dolphins were made from handcut pool tiles and floor tiles. The waves and sprays of water were handcut pieces of gold veined mirror. (they are reflecting me and the flowers in the garden). The dolphins and water are thicker than the tiny vitreous tiles that make up the background so you get a dimensional look.

 

I mixed numerous colors of grout to blend with the tiles.

 

This is a substantial piece:

 

21 inches high

27 inches wide.

 

The sides are finished in corresponding tiles for a completely finished look.
